A clear understanding of negative emotions dismisses them.

A truly strong person does not need the approval of others any more than a lion needs the approval of sheep.

All forms of self-defeating behavior are unseen and unconscious, which is why their existence is denied.

Beauty is only skin deep, but it's a valuable asset if you're poor or haven't any sense.

Can you think of anything more permanently elating than to know that you are on the right road at last?

Freedom begins as we become conscious of it.

It is a true miracle when a man finally sees himself as his only opposition.

Just be honest with yourself. That opens the door.

Learn to see things as they really are, not as we imagine they are.

Our freedom can be measured by the number of things we can walk away from.

Quit thinking that you must halt before the barrier of inner negativity. You need not. You can crash through... whatever we see a negative state, that is where we can destroy it.

Remember above all that mental stability comes by examining the contents of the mind, not by avoidance.

Study carefully the law of cause and effect.

To change what you get you must change who you are.

Truth is not a matter of personal viewpoint.

We are enslaved by anything we do not consciously see. We are freed by conscious perception.

We are exactly where we have chosen to be.

We are slaves to whatever we don't understand.

We clearly realize that freedom's inner kingdom cannot be touched by exterior attacks.

We must become acquainted with our emotional household: we must see our feelings as they actually are, not as we assume they are. This breaks their hypnotic and damaging hold on us.

What you really want for yourself is always trying to break through, just as a cooling breeze flows through an open window on a hot day. Your part is to open the windows of your mind.

You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.

Very good, sounds like a book of meditations.

but

You have succeeded in life when at last you find something you really want.

It is hard for me to find anything I want that is within my reach. Settling for the existing reality that others offer to me is sickening. While being satisfied with "whatever" we must be proactive in creating the art of life, otherwise we become a mere bit actor in someone else's dream.

Heard this quote tonight...from Pema Chodron:

Rudolph Bahro wrote: “When an old culture is dying, the new culture is created by those people who are not afraid to be insecure.

I recommend Vernon Howard’s book Mystic Path to Cosmic Power. As far as the nuts-and-bolts of mysticism, he’s a master.  His sanity lends to even the most lurid experiences, the force of data. Perhaps the most no-nonsense explication I’ve yet to encounter.

Cool thanks.
I have been checking out the anthropo videos on PBS.
I watched one on the hobbit...it died out around the same time as the Clovis...perhaps due to the same comet hit 12,900. Hominoids are the strangest of creatures.

I am secure in my insecurity, for I know all outside security is illusionary. I want to find just one individual that is in the 21st Century tho.

Awesome series on Ape Genius also...humanoids evolved from apes due to their ability to teach and learn.
