Sovereignty means embodying or owning up to one's inner King and Queen. Sovereignty is developed by building the hierocentric temple of the King and Queen in the middle prefrontal lobes. The royal seat is developed through the metamorphic inner marriage and mindful presence in this region and serves an executive function to regulate and integrate body, mind and soul. Between the poles of rigidity and chaos the middle prefrontal lobe is the magnetic eye of storm, which facilitates our higher human capacities of atunement, meta-cognition (thinking about thinking), relevance, purpose, meaning, engagement and openness.
In his book “The Mindful Brain” Dr. Daniel Siegel attributes nine functions to this region of the brain: Body Regulation, Attuned Communication, Emotional Balance, Response Flexibility, Empathy, Insight, Fear Modulation, Intuition and Morality. I would like to add awe, humility, evolutionary alignment, Worldsoul navigation, Zeropoint attunement, and compassionate intent or healing prayer to this list of middle prefrontal lobe functions. Besides bilateral exercises for the hemispheres, mindfulness meditation and compassionate prayer builds up the neurons in the middle prefontals, which is where the inner sovereign, our commander in chief sits at the throne…always ready to rule, should we desire to make conscious contact. Julian Jaynes considers metaconsciousness, “that is thinking about thinking” as the only consciousness that is actually awake. “Conscious” choice is the power of sovereignty.
Michael Beckwith says it takes a big ego to resist the awesome power of the evolutionary impulse that is always giving spontaineous goodness. This creative force has no withholding, therefore its infinite embrace is always available waiting for us to yield to it. This is the evolutionary tug of the Oversoul (Universal Template) that guides the realization and humanization process…that is the awakening and utilization of the potential for growth enfolded within the implicate order. Awakening is surrendering to the unfolding of the Oversoul in order to participate in the ongoing revolution of evolution. It is this connection with Source that produces “eudaimonia,” the highest human good. The Greek word eudaimonia means literally “the state of having a good indwelling spirit, a good genius, and happiness or human flourishing.” It consists of the word "eu" ("good" or "well being") and "daimon" ("spirit" of fortune or destiny). The Stoics make virtue (arete) necessary and sufficient for eudaimonia and thus denying the necessity of external goods and material “reasons” for happiness. Thus we see that virtue is to be washed away by the evolutionary wave of the Oversoul.
Going-with the flow of the evolutionary impulse and its drive to awaken eudaimonia in all sentient beings means that we are driven to act in silent or expressive natural heroism in bringing greater light to the world. Ken Wilber points out that this global uplifting dharma is not an act of hubris, but one of humility…and awe that we are at the leading evolutionary edge.
“It is a moral imperative to act as if your every action is going to become an act of evolution. That shouldn’t give us a sense of braggardero, but should give us the desire to get it right…of absolute humility and humbleness.” Ken Wilber
Thus we see that it is a duty…a moral imperative to turn on the lights to the highest human functions and ignite the pharaohic go-between the human and the divine. The royal uraeus on the forehead offers protection from all evil through alignment with the source of all things and the knower of all there is to know. The foci of eudaimonic will in the middle of the prefrontal lobes is the central control station that is fully equipped with the resources to follow the call of our individual and species evolution. The radiant, efflugent “daimon” is the “diamond” of clarity that charts the course of our highest destiny and that raises our frequency to tap into the Field…in order to live the life of the soul and establish heaven on earth. As above so below.
