The rise and fall of civilizations and the entire human drama can be seen through the lens of attachment theory. The father of attachment theory, John Bowlby described attachment (affectional bond) as a lasting psychological connectedness between human beings. Bowlby understood that our early attachment styles are established in childhood through the infant/caregiver relationship. Bowlby believed that attachment had an evolutionary component, in that it aids in survival, psychological security and community safety.
He described four distinguishing characteristics of attachment:
1. Proximity Maintenance - The desire to be near the people we are attached to.
2. Safe Haven - Returning to the attachment figure for comfort and safety in the face of a fear or threat.
3. Secure Base - The attachment figure acts as a base of security from which the child can explore the surrounding environment.
4. Separation Distress - Anxiety that occurs in the absence of the attachment figure.

Rather than simply relating these to child development, we can also interpret these in terms of the individuals secure attachment to their Self and connection or non-separation with the Cosmos...that is spiritual development. And that this degree of sovereign connection or cosmic attachment determines the flavors and plays of the social dynamics, human evolution, the global theater and the collective zeitgeist. Insecure attachment patterns can compromise exploration and the achievement of self-confidence. When securely attached we are free to concentrate on our environment. Whereas separation can cause anxiety and anger, followed by sadness and despair. Anxiety, fear, illness and fatigue will cause us to increase attachment behavours, defense and coping mechanisms.

Humanity in total can be defined and understood through the primary attachment wiring in the brain, and the consequent repercussions in the life of the individual and the continuum of the species. Once we become conscious of this we can set about to change our behaviors, lifestyles, communities, institutions, structures, systems and indeed all our activity in thought word and deed towards reinstalling the connective principle or Love in its rightful hierarchy.

The difference between a liberal and a conservative may be in conflict tolerance and the degree of neurological breaking involved in impulse control. The anterior cingulate cortex is involved in conflict monitoring, that is looking for conflicts in information processing arising from "crosstalk interference," which produces competition, conflict, ambiguity and dissonance that can negatively affect performance. Conflict leads to increased anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) activity and liberals have more activity in the ACC while under duress, while conservatives have less neurocognitive sensitivity to conflicts. At the behavioral level, conservatives were also more likely to make errors of commission (that is the act of granting certain powers or the authority to carry out a particular task or duty). The ACC acts as a sort of emotional speed bump to slow impulses down so the frontal lobe can take command and moderate the situation. This increased activity occurs in the anterior cingulate cortex alerts a person that they are off-track. In other words it may be reduced ACC intercommunication between the hemispheres and prefrontal lobe executive control that gives conservatives a sense of entitlement and manifest destiny…through which higher human values and long term consequences may not be taken into sober consideration during decision making. This could explain the politico-military-religio-economic mess we have made of things…since it is the indoctrinated rather than the initiated that run this world.

Sovereignty, integration, wholeness and the consequent grace produce a mature responsibility which (Ken and others) are calling an obligation...but this is not driven from a sense of "should" or duty but from the play of necessity. As such morality is no different from the force of creation itself, and so the inertial weight of formal obligation is lifted as we rise to the task that universal morality demands of us. This is the ability to respond to a deeper code than that of placating compensations that keep relationship and community out of the direct evolutionary flow of Eros.

This is a kind of sacred indebtedness born of gratitude in which being and expressing the Self and the Muse is not different from this sacred responsibility or obligation. Indeed it is not a limiting, enslaving or denial of the self, but an expansion and liberation of it. As the Self is not sacrificed but is found, the circle of giving and receiving is complete thus the regenerous capacity of ones contribution increases exponentially…and if we create communities of such illuminated creators we can built human systems that further the growth of the human soul in daily life, leading to the infinite expansion of humanization with less instability and regression.

check out this documentary if you havn't already.

Collapse ... it's not just doom and gloom

Synopsis

Sitting in a room that looks like a bunker, Ruppert briefly recounts his life including his parents' alleged ties to U.S. intelligence agencies and Ruppert’s own stint as an LAPD beat cop and then detective. Ruppert then summarizes current energy and economic issues, focusing mainly around the core concepts of peak oil and sustainable development. He also criticizes fiat money and alleges various conspiracy theories about CIA drug trafficking.

The bulk of the film presents Ruppert making an array of predictions including social unrest, violence, population dislocation, and governmental collapses in the United States and throughout the world. He draws on the same news reports and data available to any Internet user, but he applies a unique interpretation -- “connecting the dots” as he calls it.

Smith periodically stops Ruppert to question his assumptions and provide a note of skepticism.

I am already over the other side of the Apocalypse so for me total collapse is not scary...and I have nothing to lose. Sometimes tho I feel like a leaf in the wind, and I have to actively recall what the fuck I am doing. Thru my peak...the two sides of the mantra coin were LOVE, LOVE, LOVE and What Are You Doing Now? I suppose that must have been a rightbrain/leftbrain dialogue.
Lately my right brain has been doing the butterfly flutter thing...there is far greater synthesis in the right, peace, heart...

I will just do my work, but I don't expect anyone to change, least of all myself...I still mourn the fork in the road on the beach path in Santa Barbara.
I love the intensity of June and July...

Anyway that Avatar talk of Ken's was good but preliminary, and safe, in that if he really wanted to get anywhere he would talk with Cameron himself.

Watch the names and sequence of the Hurricanes this season...lets work on the flow of the archetypes. Cry
Surely there have been times in our history of a similar order...not even an ice age or asteroid hit really equates to this as we drown in our own shit.
People are still very much asleep tho...only one in fifty know whats coming down...I even think our Henry should get out of the mountains at some point...perhaps Ojai would be a good spot. pray

BP Welcomes You to the Apocalypse

By Mark Morford,

June 25, 2010 "
SF Gate" -- Please do not worry. Please do not fret about that one thing you always fret about, or that other thing, or even that third thing that might have something to do with erupting oil, dead pelicans and that sickening feeling in your gut that Something is Very Wrong Indeed.

I come bearing fabulous news. There is no longer any need to concern yourself with pesky trifles like love, a mortgage, child rearing, planting a garden, dreams, money, shoes, wristwatches, parking spaces, mysterious rashes, foreign policy, baseball, bridge tolls or generally caring about much of anything in particular.

I am delighted to report it will all be over soon. If not sooner. It's true.

And it's a good thing, too, because I was just reading up on six of the worst-case scenarios resulting from the BP spill, all sorts of horrors and tragedies, abuses and unspeakables, from dire seafood shortages to horrifying ecosystem destruction, wildlife mutilation to all the years and decades before the gulf region will be anywhere near recovered. These scenarios all were, in a word, bleak. They were, in three more, thoroughly f--ing depressing.

They were also, whoops, from about two months ago. So I clicked around and quickly found another, far more recent worst-case scenario article, and boy, were its scenarios worse indeed. So awful that they effectively made the earlier batch seem meek and laughable and even sort of quaint.

So it's come to this. Every day in the media, a sort of deranged, comical footrace to figure out which worst-case scenario is really the worst, because every day comes a new stat, prediction, photo, possibility for abject horror we hadn't even conceptualized yet because, well, we've never exactly been here before, not at this scale. How bad can it all get, really? No one has a clue. Joy!

But I'm not at all worried. Because the fact is, almost none of those worst-case scenarios will actually come to pass. Do you know why? Because there are two or three even worse worst-case scenarios that easily trump any you might be reading about anywhere. Ultra, mega, super worst-case scenarios that make all the rest seem like a little splotch on your pretty new iPhone 4.

So, just what are these supermegaworst-case scenarios? They all have one thing in common: Each one of them, all by itself, spells the end of modern life as we know it. Utter annihilation. The End. I am so not kidding. OK, maybe a little. But only until we all die. After that, not kidding at all.

BP Will Kill Us All Scenario #1: Everyone knows that, early on in the spill, BP was thoughtful enough to pump millions of gallons of a horrible chemical dispersant called Corexit 9500 into the gusher, a violently toxic compound so notoriously lethal it's been banned for years by the European union. Obama & Co finally caught on to BP's tactic and told them to knock it off.

Too late. Obscure Russian scientists tell us Corexit's deadly compounds are now breaking up and evaporating into North American rainclouds, which will shortly begin raining down complete toxic hell on us all, poisoning all crops, babies, cats, Christians, Starbucks baristas and none-too-bright redneck videographers -- though it will somehow magically spare the really good jazz clubs in Louisiana and that one guy who scored the goal for the USA in the World Cup, because he's a freakin' hero.

These scientists say the toxic rain could be so poisonous, it will destroy the entire food chain and plunge North America into chaos, rendering the entire region unlivable, with any straggling survivors crawling desperately up to Canada, where they will be promptly made into slave labor to build hockey arenas and drink lager and fade into the woods.

Does that sound dubious? Totally implausible? Fine. No problem. For there is another, even better backup apocalypse scenario, even more melodramatic and wickedly cinematic, and therefore much more likely to come to pass.

BP Will Kill Us All Scenario #2: Apparently, deep in the ocean floor, just beneath the gushing oil, lives a massive bubble of methane gas the size of... oh, let's just say Texas. Maybe Oklahoma. South Carolina. Someplace gassy and slightly rancid and always ready to explode at the poke of a big phallic stick.

This is the drama: All our mucking around on the ocean floor could trigger a methane explosion so gargantuan, it will cause a tsunami. Not just any tsunami, mind you, but a "supersonic tsunami" so ultra-awesomely massive it will effortlessly wipe out the much of the gulf coast states, killing millions and completely destabilizing the nation and inducing zombie riots in the streets as everyone wails over the loss of Florida. Or, you know, not.

So there you have it. Toxic rain and supersonic tsunamis, the end of North America as we know it. Done. Finished. Certainly, one of those two scenarios is guaranteed to come to pass, right? Maybe, if we're really lucky, even both?

All right, fine. In the off-off chance that invisible Russian scientists and nutball doomsayers are wrong (impossible!), well, there is one more glorious mega scenario to consider. There is a backup to the backup to the backup. Hey, we're Americans. When it comes to dorky apocalyptic visions, we got you covered.

Here is your grand finale: A new survey says that a disturbingly large percentage of Americans -- 40 percent, to be exact -- actually believe Jesus will return by 2050, likely riding on the back of a flaming asteroid (30 percent think one will hit us by then), waving a cowboy hat and yodeling as he careens toward our hapless blue dot of inequity, pain and lousy AT&T reception.

Jesus will then crash land in Texas, wink at Dubya and Sarah Palin, and then sweep up all the True Believers in their beige Dodge minivans just as the earth shudders and implodes, just like one of those swirling black holes in "Star Trek."

How cool will that be? Answer: It will be very cool indeed. It is so cool, in fact, it totally wipes out the need to care much about anything at all. See how easy? Now, who wants pie?

Well definitely half of the US is going to evacuate into the other half...which is mostly desert anyway...only the dumb ones will stay behind to get mutated. I imagine there will be riots, loss of socalled law and order...people will be too sick to fight wars tho...and no new round of cannon fodder for the holy wars (corporate invasions) against the terrorists.
It will cause the kind of mass upheaval that the blowing of Thera volcano caused...but in those days there were no passports...so who knows where they are going to go. If we ignore it, perhaps it will go away.

BP still a good investment....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw2muJB8fDw

Ok, I have the worst case scenario...it keeps spilling until 2012 when a X-class solar flare hits the earth and the earth and atmosphere burn up. Killing all life on earth for 3 billion years...anyone beat that? cigar

Regarding the Toronto G20 summit.

Yea, its a power show, because they are powerless. Rather than protesting the people need to gather for their own action summit. Saving the world is a peoples movement, governments can only destroy it. Protest is mute.

Sovereign Man was going on about the bad behavior of the G20...good article at his site.
But really its up to the people to completely change their relationship with those in power and with creative change in general. Such street protests are completely useless as far as I can see...they are a symptom not of empowered people but of victims.

With the Awakening Series I am attempting to "solve" the brain/culture double bind present in cultures that foster war, usury, and ecocide. I have been working on the physical/emotional/mental/spiritual aspects of developing sovereignty or the "whole" human in order to help people have greater choice and opportunity to break away from the pathological society they find themselves in. As each individual breaks away to reestablish the cosmic human, “at-one with Nature,” we can create a genuinely sustainable, permanent culture that is beyond the irrational level of eco-suicide. We essentially have to craft the whole of ourselves to become ALL that we could have been had we been born into a stably enlightened culture. In a sense it is a big picture spiritual path for the recovery of the human soul, ie: that which upholds the best and highest in life for the longest possible duration in the Universe. Conversely "evil" is that which destroys the Good, the True and the Beautiful, as it destroys the progress of life itself. Evil can be accepted as normal and institutionalized so that entire civilizations no longer know right from wrong and life from death. This is the situation we find ourselves in now with our petty, brute industrial society. The ultimate conclusion of this path of ignorance is the death of our planet and so we have to change our physical/emotional/mental/spiritual make up toward a universal morality and away from global suicide.

Testosterone is the main hormone that establishes the hierarchy of the Alpha animal in a pack, however it is also the hormone that kills off the communication and emotional center neurons in the fetus of the male of the species. Testosterone is produced in greater quantities in mothers who are under stress...so that within dominant/submissive relationships the children produced have less communication with themselves...ie: less sovereignty necessary in order to define their own way of being...and so generation after generation the basic primate dominant/submissive social model is continued without question despite the huge cost in suffering and wasted "human" experience of the Good, the True and the Beautiful. Once we establish a male/female relationship pattern that is equanimous and evolving while still maintaining the sexual polar tension…that is once we incorporate the conscious soul into the partnership model, we can produce children whose brains are cosmically intact and capable of living on the planet in a post-scarcity, regenerative and sacred way. We have to change from being motivated by fear to be motivated by love in order to develop an enlightened socio-economic-political environment for dignified human living.

“Our research has concluded that [fear of] Scarcity is one of the most fundamental causes of aberrant human behavior, while also leading to complex forms of neurosis in other ways.” Peter Joseph www.thezeitgeistmovement.com/

I have actually solved the problem of the human condition, tho not sure if that will make any difference in the slightest. Embarrassed Beats me Grin

The problems that humanity is now facing are caused by the disintegration, dis-communication and repression of the whole human. Our problems are the fallout of our failure to evolve out of tribe or hive mind into the fully realized individual. Thus we are stuck in an evolutionary cul-de-sac. A teenage twilight of prepersonal enslavement to the dictates of cultural pressures, institutions and the past. Symptoms of this stagnation and regression into modes of distress include: narcissism, consumerism, cosmetic or surface dwelling, lack of creativity and imagination, absence of original thought and genius, dysfunctional relationships, breakdown of the family, neurological and learning disorders, depression and degenerative disease, compulsiveness and addiction, resource wars, debt economy, ecosystem decline and insufficient limitation on the corporatocracy. The list goes on….

These pathological symptoms of hive mind result from having the prepersonal  stage extended beyond its usefulness. In order to save ourselves and the planet we must break through to the next stage of human evolution…the healthy, liberated, realized and culturally supported source-driven full human. Just as our birth number, parental favoritism and the emotional circumstances of our early social programming impact the entirety of our lives unless we do the "work" to release ourselves from these unconscious patterns, so too must we find release from the habitual energies, ideas and repercussions of our time and place in human history. Rather than go down with the sinking ship caused by our collective inability to embrace the fullness of healthy individualism…we must love ourselves unconditionally…beyond all our defense and coping mechanisms, our twisted emotions, our aborted talents and our broken lives. It is through profound faith, future sight and loyalty to the life principle that we can find our way through the dark night and manifest the kind of world we were born to live in had humanity the knowledge and strength to live a better way.

here is the movie Zeitgiest II Addendum.  the first hour is a direct followup of the first Zeitgeist movie and sums up the economic model/situation we live in now. the 2nd hour is tied into the Venus project and the Zeitgeist movement.  all of it is good food for thought and to contemplate. their solutions are for the individual to decide upon.  it does take and integral and holographic view of the human condition. there is an emphasis on technological means for this transformation, but if they include the different "technologies" of the past, ie: accupuncture, in inward psychology of meditation, the organic way of living with/in the earth of indigenous peoples,etc... then i can accept it.

The building of a Mosque near ground zero was probably part of the original plans in the arrangement of using Arabs as the patsies...
The Saudi Royals and the Bin Laden family and Bush/Cheney The Carlyle Group probably had a written contract that this was going to occur, in order to permit the neocon Nazis to use Osama Bin Laden as the fall guy.

If we could trace the Mosque money back to its source, the entire plan of 911 would be revealed.
