Whew, been away such a long time!   Just been catching up again.   I mainly take photographs these days, and communicate in images. Isn't forever, I don't think.  An extended break from discourse.

Warmest wishes to all anyway.   As a calling card, I've been shooting portraits of a teenager called Safi today, she already has a small part on British TV, wanted some shots for her portfolio, I did 'em for free.  You saw her first on Heartmind!  Just the most beautiful eyes...

Greetings David!

Nice to see you again.  What a stunningly beautiful photo you shared here.  Thanks so much!

I'm afraid you find us at rather a low ebb, in terms of activity anyway.  But welcome!

Good wishes,
Michael

i beg to differ with M. and mD that we are at a low ebb here at Heartmind. i checked the forum statistics and the figures for the month of May are robust. Need i remind you that "activity" isn't necessarily healthy boxing? i much prefer the wonderful people here quietly "holding space" for each other, than a "capture the flag" rodeo bla bla....also, forum statistics reveals that "henry" has twice as much time online as everyone else together. i do check in almost every day, and for the first couple years, once i logged in, i didn't realize i should/could log out Embarrassed

I agree with you Henry.  Activity is not always a reflection of healthy....hhmmmm, sigh..... it is often a sign of confusion, or at least it has been for me.  Wonderful to see you DavidD. It is lovely to see all of you. xo Jane

Thanks people - can't tell you what nostalgic feelings you all bring back.   I owe you all so much for your company and interaction in different forums over the years.  Its a debt and I know it.  I'm in a sensitised state just now, as my daughter Naomi got married last Saturday 21 May.  When it came to my speech I just talked from the heart, found myself saying that the walk up the church path with her on my arm took me back instantly to the morning walks with her to school.  And here I was, giving her away to another man who was going to take her away and he was now her protector.  And the mixture of pride and happiness and sadness in that.  Then I noticed that many of the wedding guests were weeping!  Smiling too though, it was a good thing in a painful way.  Steve is one of my best friends now as well as being my son in law.   Just sharing that everyday story with you as I'm coming up for air from the whole experience of the wedding, getting it in some kind of conscious perspective.   We hired a fantastic photographer for the occasion, but he left after the speeches, and I got the chance to capture the dance and the cake cutting.  You can see what a beautiful bride Naomi was if you want to - I put a few photos on my website, www.davidfduffy.com.  Here's one I took of them anyway, texted it to them when they reached the airport to fly off to Hong Kong and Bali.  They like it!     I plan to join you again as soon as I can.   Love to all.
